Well it's been a long time since I last posted. I have had an interesting few years. Life in Connecticut was different, I was able to meet some new friends and reconnect with some old friends back home in Massachusetts. I was there for my mother during her time of need when her husband passed away. I learned a lot of life lessons and still managed to carry on despite all the craziness that took place with my career.
The sun actually began to rise this year when I was asked to relocate back to my favorite
place to live..Georgia. It's been almost 6 months and while I have not been able to as of yet, connect with a lot of my friends (due mostly to the insane traveling for working) I'm so happy to be home in my adopted state. I will say that with the change in our company's location I did have to say good bye to some really great people who I had the honor of working with over the last 5 years. I will hopefully continue to stay in contact them as they move on to their next adventure. Work for me is a new adventure as the company is reinventing itself and I have the honor of being part of that new vision and direction.
As the new year is just a few weeks away I'm looking forward to what it has in store. Michael and I will be taking sometime to visit my dad and my goal is to save so that way in 2020 we can go to England for two weeks. It's been a dream of mine to go, I'm such a history nut and so want to go and see the historic castles, museums and of course the royal family.
Well as I normally say, enough of my babbling. Until next time my friends let me leave you with a thought or a quote from the movie Auntie Mame " Life is like a buffet and most poor sons of bitches are staving." :)

East Rock -- Breath Taking Views
When you live in a valley you tend to forget that there are mountains that surround you, how I really don't know. I guess its just another one of those things in life that you take for granted. Last weekend we decided that we were going exploring and I wanted to go this park that you could see from Ikea... Yes I know, I had to mention that place at least once in my posting (LOL).
Now about that park; from a distance you could see this tower sitting on top of a very large hill (oops that would be a mountain). We took the ride and it found and made our way up the very narrow and winding road (no its not a song). The view on the way up was amazing and sort of frighting at the same time, as I don't do well with heights. When we did make it to the top the view was just an experience that if you every visit this area you simply must take the time to see it to believe it.
Below you will find just a few of the many pictures that I took that day. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did taking them. Of course I will need to go back up once everything starts to turn green!

Good Friday
This year for good Friday our friends Vickie, Joe and Alina came to visit us from New Jersey. We spent a good part of the day at the Mystic Aquarium. It was fun and the exhibits were nice, however its a really old facility (40 years) and needs a lot of work.
We really liked the fact that the beluga whales had a nice area that was outside, which allowed them to interact with the trainers and the visitors. The Atlanta's beluga's were just in tanks and you did not get to see them like this, it almost makes me wonder if that's why they kept loosing so many of those majestic creatures.
It was a great day... Enjoy a few more of the pictures I took...

Spring Time Update
WOW it's been a long time since I've posted anything on this site and I do have a lot of updates. Since the last time we talked I have accepted a new job and moved back to the cold wintery north... Yup, Connecticut! I never thought I would make the move back to this part of the world, however a good friend of mine wanted to me work for him and his company and it took him a whole year to convince me to make the move. I've been here since last August and well it was the winter from hell, of course.
I survied the cold weather and now I'm getting ready for the spring weather to start. The area where I live is very nice, lots of parks and really old homes. I like being able to drive the big city (New York) as its only about an hour away. Mom is now just two hours away and Michael and I are able to do a lot of sight seeing. There are so many places that I saw as a kid but never appreciated so now I get to relive all those places again and make new memories.

The picture above was from our recent trip to Essex's a small town in our new state. The houses are so old... mid to late 1800's. It was a great little place, however I still want to go back once everything turns green and its much warmer.
The picture above is from across the other side of the river in my new home town. The area is full of walking trails and is very quaint. The picture below is in the next town (Derby) this is one of the walking trails and its nice to have some nature so close to home and I did mention that we are only 7 miles from the ocean?!
We also took a trip back to Mystic Seaport which I must say was just as boring as when I went as a child. The only good thing was that I was able to get some pictures this time.
Well that's all for now. Stay tuned for some more interesting trips to come this spring and summer.....

It's been way to long
Yes its been a long time since I have posted anything to this site. As a matter of fact I had forgotten all about this site. You see I have not really even been on Facebook in a long time. I just don't seem to have anytime these days to stop and write.
Well I was just sitting here listening to Michael, Hershey and Pumpkin snoring away (yes my husband the dog and cat) are all passed out on a Sunday night. Its kind of nice to have them all so quiet, I was able to get my postings done for my two classes. A rare moment of peace indeed. If he's not driving me crazy (not really) the pets on the other hand are out of control; especially Molly the other cat who likes to play chase with dog.
So much for the peace and quiet... All of them are now awake! I made the plunge this last week and purchased another car (Michael is driving the Sonata and I'm hiring a Director of Field Training so I don't have to travel so much so if figured I would get a car I liked and get work to pay for the gas). Well we went to look at cars and I ended up buying what I always wanted, a Mini Cooper Clubman.
Its awesome and not as little as you might think either. Of course I had to get a manual six speed.
Well I guess that's all for today sorry if my normal writing flare was just not as bright tonight, however its been a while since I've written. Until next time...
